I am a freelance magazine writer and editor based in Portland, Oregon.

Originally from a small town in Oregon, I went to high school in Portland and graduated from New York University with a degree in art history. During and after college, I worked as an editorial assistant at Sports Illustrated, and later gained valuable experience at the venerable French art book publisher, Assouline Inc. & Publishing.

In 2003, I co-founded annabelle magazine, an online culture magazine where I am still the managing editor, web designer, and main cheerleader.
